Digital Signage Advertising is increasingly present into all commercial sectors, mainly due to the low price of LCD and Plasma displays. However, these technologies are limited by size and are rigid; massive back-end due to heat dissipation, average image quality, high energy consumption. One promising alternative is the field emission displays (FEDs) technology that uses large-area field electron sources to provide electrons that strike colored phosphor to produce a color image.
